What Cookies Are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. The browser's local storage and service worker cache serve similar purposes. This policy covers all of them.
Necessary
These are needed for the site to work or to remember your settings. They are always active.
| Name | Type | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| rar_cc | Local storage | Remembers your cookie choice so the window is not shown on every visit | 6 months |
| rar_consent_id | Cookie and local storage | Links your choice record to a random identifier; it does not show who you are | 2 years |
| theme | Local storage | Remembers the light or dark theme you picked | Until you clear it |
| Service worker cache | Browser cache | Keeps pages and images you opened available offline and speeds up repeat visits | Until it is replaced or you clear it |
Analytics (Only With Your Consent)
If you allow Analytics, Google Analytics 4 loads and sets the cookies below. If you do not, Google Analytics is not loaded and no request is sent to Google.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes visitors | 2 years |
| _ga_CZFMJ9WZ0E | Google Analytics | Keeps the state of the current session | 2 years |
When you withdraw consent, the site stops Google Analytics and deletes these cookies.
Statistics Without Cookies
The site also uses Vercel Web Analytics. It sets no cookies and does not follow you across days or other sites; it produces aggregate statistics only. Because it uses no cookies, it runs regardless of your choice.
Changing Your Choice
Use the Cookie Preferences link at the bottom of every page to change your choice at any time. Your choice is valid for six months, after which the window asks again. You can also delete or block cookies and site data in your browser settings.
Choice Records
Each saved choice is sent, together with its date, the page you were on, your IP address, browser information, country and your random identifier, to a logging service on Cloudflare's infrastructure and kept so that the choice can be proven.
