All Megan Thee Stallion Albums Ranked Best to Worst (2026)

Megan Thee Stallion has released three studio albums, and this page ranks all three plus two earlier projects, the 2019 mixtape Fever and the 2020 EP Suga, for five releases in total. Fever is officially a mixtape and Suga an EP, but both reached the top ten of the Billboard 200 and fans treat them as core records. The early EPs Make It Hot and Tina Snow, the mixtapes Rich Ratchet and Megan Mix, the 2021 compilation Something for Thee Hotties and the Megan: Act II reissue are not ranked separately.

Why it ranks here

Fever is built around Megan's "Hot Girl" alter ego and a run of tough, bass-heavy Southern beats, mostly from her regular collaborator LilJuMadeDaBeat with Juicy J and DJ Chose. Her flow is relentless and witty from the opening "Realer" onward, and the tape never strays from what she does best. It scored 81 on Metacritic, appeared on many year-end lists and won the BET Hip Hop Award for Best Mixtape.

Context

Released May 17, 2019 through 1501 Certified and 300 Entertainment. It debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and was certified gold.

Highlights

  • Realer
  • Simon Says
  • Shake That
  • Best You Ever Had
  • Running Up Freestyle

Weak Spots

  • Little variation in tempo across fourteen tracks
  • A couple of songs repeat the same boasts

Production

LilJuMadeDaBeat · Juicy J · DJ Chose · Crazy Mike · Project Pat

Influence

Turned the "Hot Girl Summer" catchphrase into a national phenomenon and made Megan one of rap's breakout stars of 2019.

Replay Value

Very high — forty minutes with almost no slack.

Why it ranks here

Her official debut studio album opens with "Shots Fired" and addresses the shooting controversy that overshadowed her 2020, then moves into a wide-ranging set of club records and pop crossovers. "Body" became a hit, and the album also carries the Beyoncé remix of "Savage", which topped the Hot 100 and won two Grammy Awards. Critics praised the wit and drive of her rapping; it scored 85 on Metacritic.

Context

Released November 20, 2020 through 1501 Certified and 300. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and topped the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart. A few months later Megan won Best New Artist at the 63rd Grammy Awards.

Highlights

  • Shots Fired
  • Body
  • Circles
  • Cry Baby
  • Don't Stop

Weak Spots

  • Seventeen tracks with some filler in the middle
  • The pop-leaning songs are weaker than the rap ones

Production

LilJuMadeDaBeat · Juicy J · Buddah Bless · Tay Keith · Mustard

Influence

Confirmed her as a mainstream star rather than a viral moment.

Replay Value

High, especially the first half.

Why it ranks here

Traumazine is darker and more introspective than anything before it. Songs like "Anxiety" and "Ungrateful" address grief, mental health and betrayal directly, while "Plan B" and "Her" keep the energy up. The production is spread across many hands, which makes it less cohesive than Fever, but the writing is her most open. Metacritic: 80.

Context

Released August 12, 2022 through 1501 Certified and 300, her final album for the label. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, was certified gold and was nominated for the BET Hip Hop Award for Album of the Year. "Sweetest Pie" with Dua Lipa reached No. 15 on the Hot 100.

Highlights

  • Ungrateful
  • Anxiety
  • Plan B
  • Her
  • Sweetest Pie

Weak Spots

  • Eighteen tracks is too many
  • The many producers make it feel patchy

Production

LilJuMadeDaBeat · Juicy J · Murda Beatz · OG Parker · Hitkidd

Influence

Showed she could write candidly about her own life without losing her bite.

Replay Value

Good, best in selections.

Why it ranks here

Suga was first planned as her debut album but came out as an EP after a legal dispute with her label, and it sounds like a stopgap: nine tracks in under twenty-five minutes, with producers from the Neptunes to Timbaland. AllMusic heard the growing pains of success in its small steps toward more commercial sounds. Its importance comes from "Savage", which became her first Hot 100 number one after the Beyoncé remix. Metacritic: 77.

Context

Released March 6, 2020 through 1501 Certified and 300. It debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and later climbed to No. 7 on the strength of "Savage".

Highlights

  • Captain Hook
  • Ain't Equal
  • Hit My Phone
  • Crying in the Car
  • Stop Playing

Weak Spots

  • Feels assembled rather than planned
  • The R&B-leaning cuts are thin

Production

The Neptunes · Timbaland · LilJuMadeDaBeat · J. White Did It · Helluva

Influence

Its lead single carried her from rap star to pop headliner.

Replay Value

Moderate — return for the singles.

Why it ranks here

Her first album after leaving 1501 Certified, released on her own Hot Girl label through Warner, is built around a snake theme and a run of singles: "Cobra", "Hiss", "Boa" and "Mamushi". "Hiss" became her first solo Hot 100 number one. Critics welcomed the creative freedom but found the album uneven, and its 67 on Metacritic is her lowest.

Context

Released June 28, 2024 through Hot Girl Productions and Warner. It debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200. An expanded version, Megan: Act II, followed in October 2024.

Highlights

  • Hiss
  • Cobra
  • Mamushi
  • Boa
  • Otaku Hot Girl

Weak Spots

  • Eighteen tracks with several forgettable ones
  • The theme is more branding than concept

Production

LilJuMadeDaBeat · Bankroll Got It · Tay Keith · Juicy J · Koshy

Influence

Proved she could top the charts as an independent-minded artist.

Replay Value

Moderate.

The Complete Picture

Megan Thee Stallion's best work is her leanest: Fever and Good News show a rapper with total control of her voice and her persona, and Traumazine adds a more personal edge. Suga and Megan are uneven, but both contain some of her biggest singles.

Start with Fever for the purest version of her style, then Good News for the hits.
