All A$AP Rocky Albums Ranked Best to Worst (2026)

A$AP Rocky has released four studio albums, and this page ranks all four plus Live. Love. A$AP, the 2011 mixtape that made his name, from Long. Live. A$AP (2013) to Don't Be Dumb (2026). His A$AP Mob group projects, collaborations and standalone singles are not ranked.

Why it ranks here

Live. Love. A$AP is the purest version of Rocky's vision: a New York rapper drawling over chopped-and-screwed hooks and Clams Casino's ethereal, cloud-rap beats. Pitchfork called it a triumph of immaculate taste, and it scored 83 on Metacritic — higher than any of his studio albums. "Peso" and "Purple Swag" earned him his first record deal.

Context

Released free on October 31, 2011, with guests Schoolboy Q and members of A$AP Mob. It was re-released on streaming services in October 2021.

Highlights

  • Palace
  • Peso
  • Wassup
  • Leaf
  • Demons

Weak Spots

  • AllMusic noted its moral decay will put some listeners off
  • Rocky's rapping is more about style than technique

Production

Clams Casino · A$AP Ty Beats · DJ Burn One · SpaceGhostPurrp · Beautiful Lou

Influence

Helped bring cloud rap and Southern-styled production to New York and made A$AP Mob a movement.

Replay Value

Very high — the mood has never dated.

Why it ranks here

Rocky's major-label debut kept the mixtape's atmosphere and added scale. Clams Casino returns for "LVL", Hit-Boy delivers "Goldie" and the posse cut "1 Train", and Danger Mouse produces "Phoenix". Pitchfork called it a triumph of craft and curation, and it scored 75 on Metacritic. The Drake, 2 Chainz and Kendrick Lamar single reached No. 8 on the Hot 100.

Context

His debut studio album, released January 15, 2013 on A$AP Worldwide, Polo Grounds and RCA. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • Goldie
  • LVL
  • 1 Train
  • Fashion Killa
  • Phoenix

Weak Spots

  • The Skrillex collaboration sounds dated
  • Some guest-heavy tracks dilute his identity

Production

Clams Casino · Hit-Boy · Danger Mouse · T-Minus · Hector Delgado

Influence

"1 Train" became a model for the 2010s rap posse cut, and the album proved the mixtape aesthetic could work at major-label scale.

Replay Value

High — packed with songs that still get played.

Why it ranks here

Made after the death of his mentor A$AP Yams, who is credited as an executive producer, the second album leans into psychedelic rock and soul with Danger Mouse and Hector Delgado. "Everyday" with Rod Stewart, Miguel and Mark Ronson, "Jukebox Joints" with Kanye West and "Excuse Me" are highlights. It scored 76 on Metacritic, his best-reviewed studio album.

Context

His second studio album, released May 26, 2015. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 and is certified double platinum.

Highlights

  • Canal St.
  • Excuse Me
  • Electric Body
  • Jukebox Joints
  • Everyday

Weak Spots

  • Eighteen tracks drag in the middle
  • Joe Fox appears on too many songs

Production

Danger Mouse · Hector Delgado · Juicy J · Mark Ronson · Kanye West

Influence

Pushed mainstream rap toward psychedelic, rock-influenced production a few years before it became common.

Replay Value

High — moody and immersive, if long.

Why it ranks here

Rocky's first album since 2018 is a scattered but often thrilling grab bag. "Helicopter" is his strongest single in years, Brent Faiyaz, Doechii, Gorillaz and Westside Gunn all show up, and Thundercat and Hit-Boy add range. Critics were broadly positive, giving it 71 on Metacritic, though some, including Paste, found it messy. Tim Burton designed the cover art and video rollout.

Context

His fourth studio album, released January 16, 2026 through AWGE/A$AP Worldwide and RCA. It debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, his first chart-topper in over a decade.

Highlights

  • Helicopter
  • Stole Ya Flow
  • Stay Here 4 Life
  • Punk Rocky
  • Whiskey (Release Me)

Weak Spots

  • Uneven sequencing
  • The genre detours do not always cohere

Production

A$AP Rocky · Hit-Boy · Thundercat · Kelvin Krash · Damon Albarn

Influence

Too new to measure, but it re-established Rocky as a commercial force after a long gap.

Replay Value

Moderate to high — the singles are strong.

Why it ranks here

Testing is Rocky at his most experimental, built mostly with Hector Delgado and full of distorted textures and odd turns. "Purity" with Frank Ocean and "Fukk Sleep" with FKA Twigs show what the approach could do, but The Guardian called it spotty and Billboard felt the experiments did not always click. It scored 67 on Metacritic, his lowest.

Context

His third studio album, released May 25, 2018. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200 with 75,000 units, ending his run of No. 1 albums.

Highlights

  • Distorted Records
  • Fukk Sleep
  • Praise the Lord (Da Shine)
  • Kids Turned Out Fine
  • Purity

Weak Spots

  • Several experiments feel unfinished
  • Style continues to outweigh substance

Production

Hector Delgado · A$AP Rocky (as Lord Flacko) · Boi-1da · FnZ · Dean Blunt

Influence

"Praise the Lord (Da Shine)" with Skepta reached No. 45 on the Hot 100, even as the album divided critics.

Replay Value

Moderate — a few great songs in a frustrating whole.

The Complete Picture

Rocky's first two projects remain his best. Live. Love. A$AP set the template, and Long. Live. A$AP scaled it up without losing it. At. Long. Last. A$AP was the bold psychedelic follow-up, Testing a noble experiment that rarely clicked, and Don't Be Dumb a welcome, eclectic return after eight years.

Start with Live. Love. A$AP for the sound that changed rap in 2011, then Long. Live. A$AP for the hits.
