All Gucci Mane Albums Ranked Best to Worst (2026)

Gucci Mane has released seventeen studio albums, and this page ranks all seventeen, from Trap House (2005) to Episodes (2025), including Trap-A-Thon, a Big Cat Records release issued without his involvement. His enormous run of mixtapes (including the Trap God, Burrrprint and East Atlanta Santa series, Woptober and El Gato: The Human Glacier) and his collaborative projects, such as Ferrari Boyz with Waka Flocka Flame and Droptopwop with Metro Boomin, are not ranked.

Why it ranks here

After a flood of mixtapes, The State vs. Radric Davis gathered Gucci's best moment into a major-label album. Drumma Boy, Fatboi, Zaytoven and Polow da Don give him bright, bouncing beats, and "Lemonade", "Wasted" and "Spotlight" with Usher became hits. It is long, but Pitchfork rated it highly, and it averaged 66 on Metacritic.

Context

His sixth studio album, released December 8, 2009. It debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 with 90,000 copies and is certified platinum.

Highlights

  • Lemonade
  • Wasted
  • Spotlight
  • Heavy
  • Bingo

Weak Spots

  • Over seventy minutes
  • The comedy interludes wear thin

Production

Drumma Boy · Fatboi · Zaytoven · Polow da Don · Scott Storch

Influence

Captured the moment Gucci's mixtape sound reached the mainstream; "Lemonade" remains a signature song.

Replay Value

High, start to finish.

Why it ranks here

Recorded in under six days after his May 2016 release from prison, Everybody Looking is the sound of a clearer, more focused Gucci. Mike Will Made It and Zaytoven split most of the beats, and Drake, Kanye West and Young Thug appear. "1st Day Out tha Feds" and "Back on Road" set the tone. It scored 72 on Metacritic.

Context

His ninth studio album, released July 22, 2016 by GUWOP Enterprises and Atlantic, his first studio album since 2011. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200, his highest peak.

Highlights

  • 1st Day Out tha Feds
  • Back on Road
  • Guwop Home
  • Waybach
  • Pick Up the Pieces (Outro)

Weak Spots

  • A few tracks feel quickly written
  • Little stylistic risk

Mike Will Made It · Zaytoven · Murda Beatz · Boi-1da

Influence

Started one of rap's great late-career comebacks.

Replay Value

High, start to finish.

Why it ranks here

Trap House is rough but foundational. Zaytoven and Shawty Redd build sparse, piano-led beats, and "Icy" with Jeezy became an Atlanta hit and the start of their long feud. Bun B and Killer Mike appear on "Black Tee". The sound is primitive next to later work, but it is one of the early records of trap music.

Context

His debut studio album, released May 24, 2005 by Big Cat and Tommy Boy. It peaked at No. 101 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • Icy
  • Trap House
  • That's All
  • Go Head
  • Money Don't Matter

Weak Spots

  • Long and unpolished
  • Indie-budget sound

Production

Zaytoven · Shawty Redd · Nitti · The Heatmakerz

Influence

Helped establish trap as a genre and launched Zaytoven as a key producer.

Replay Value

Moderate to high.

Why it ranks here

Mr. Davis is Gucci's most commercial album and one of his best-reviewed, with a Metacritic score of 77. "I Get the Bag" with Migos was a major hit, and "Curve" with the Weeknd and "Changed" with Big Sean show more range. Metro Boomin, Southside, Zaytoven and Cubeatz keep the beats sharp.

Context

His eleventh studio album, released October 13, 2017 by GUWOP Enterprises and Atlantic. It debuted at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 with 70,000 units and is certified platinum.

Highlights

  • I Get the Bag
  • Curve
  • Members Only
  • Changed
  • Make Love

Weak Spots

  • Seventeen tracks with some radio filler
  • Guests sometimes overshadow him

Production

Metro Boomin · Southside · Zaytoven · Cubeatz · TM88

Influence

Confirmed his post-prison run as a commercial force.

Replay Value

High, start to finish.

Why it ranks here

His third release of 2016 is a lean thirteen tracks with beats from Metro Boomin, Southside, Zaytoven and Murda Beatz. "Both" with Drake and "Last Time" with Travis Scott are strong singles, and "St. Brick Intro" is one of his best openers. Metacritic: 70.

Context

His tenth studio album, released December 16, 2016. It peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 and is certified gold.

Highlights

  • St. Brick Intro
  • Both
  • Last Time
  • Drove U Crazy
  • Stutter

Weak Spots

  • Less focused than Everybody Looking
  • A couple of tracks sound interchangeable

Production

Metro Boomin · Southside · Zaytoven · Murda Beatz · Mike Will Made It

Influence

Continued his East Atlanta Santa holiday tradition on a major label.

Replay Value

High, start to finish.

Why it ranks here

Evil Genius scored 78 on Metacritic, his best, and "Wake Up in the Sky" with Bruno Mars and Kodak Black was one of his biggest songs. Southside, Murda Beatz and Honorable C.N.O.T.E. give it a modern sound, though the guest list (Quavo, 21 Savage, Lil Yachty, Lil Pump) dates it.

Context

His twelfth studio album, released December 7, 2018. It debuted at No. 5 on the Billboard 200 with 51,000 units and is certified platinum.

Highlights

  • Wake Up in the Sky
  • Solitaire
  • BiPolar
  • Father's Day
  • Off the Boat

Weak Spots

  • Trend-chasing features
  • The second half fades

Production

Southside · Murda Beatz · Honorable C.N.O.T.E. · OG Parker

Influence

"Wake Up in the Sky" became one of his most-streamed songs.

Replay Value

Moderate to high.

Why it ranks here

At thirty-six minutes, Woptober II is his most compact studio album. Lex Luger's "Richer than Errybody" with YoungBoy Never Broke Again and DaBaby and "Big Booty" with Megan Thee Stallion are the singles, and TM88, Southside and London on da Track keep it moving. It scored 76 on Metacritic.

Context

His fourteenth studio album, released October 18, 2019, his second of the year. It debuted at No. 9 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • Richer than Errybody
  • Tootsies
  • Came from Scratch
  • Move Me
  • Highly Recommended

  • Feels slight

Production

TM88 · Southside · Lex Luger · London on da Track · Zaytoven

Influence

A sequel to his 2016 commercial mixtape Woptober.

Replay Value

Moderate.

Why it ranks here

Released after a jail sentence, The Appeal brings in Swizz Beatz, Pharrell, Nicki Minaj and Wyclef for a glossier sound. "Gucci Time" and "Remember When" work, but the pop moves dilute what made Radric Davis exciting. It averaged 64 on Metacritic.

Context

His seventh studio album, released September 28, 2010 by 1017 Brick Squad, Warner Bros. and Asylum. It debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200, his highest peak at the time.

Highlights

  • Gucci Time
  • Remember When
  • Haterade
  • Making Love to the Money
  • Little Friend

Weak Spots

  • Overproduced compared with his mixtapes
  • Uneven features

Production

Drumma Boy · Fatboi · Zaytoven · Swizz Beatz · Rodney "Darkchild" Jerkins

Influence

Marked the limit of his crossover push in the early 2010s.

Replay Value

Moderate.

Why it ranks here

Drumma Boy produced almost all of The Return of Mr. Zone 6, giving it a unified, bass-heavy sound. "Mouth Full of Golds" with Birdman and "24 Hours" are strong, and Waka Flocka Flame keeps the Brick Squad energy up. It scored 65 on Metacritic.

Context

His eighth studio album, released March 22, 2011 by 1017 Brick Squad and Warner Bros. It debuted at No. 18 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • 24 Hours
  • Mouth Full of Golds

  • My Year

Weak Spots

  • Sameness across the beats
  • Weaker hooks than his peak

Production

Drumma Boy · Zaytoven · Southside

Influence

His last studio album for five years.

Replay Value

Moderate.

Why it ranks here

Delusions of Grandeur stacks Meek Mill, Justin Bieber, Gunna, Lil Baby and Lil Uzi Vert across eighteen tracks. "Backwards" and "Proud of You" are strong, but much of it feels like playlist filler.

Context

His thirteenth studio album, released June 21, 2019 by Atlantic and GUWOP Enterprises. It debuted at No. 7 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • Backwards
  • Proud of You
  • ICE
  • Love Thru the Computer
  • Bussdown

Weak Spots

  • Too long
  • Guests crowd him out

Production

J. White Did It · Zaytoven · Murda Beatz · Kenny Beats · Tay Keith

Influence

Limited.

Replay Value

Low to moderate.

Why it ranks here

Zaytoven produced most of Hard to Kill, and "My Chain" and "Freaky Gurl" are early Gucci at his catchiest. But the album runs long on similar beats; XXL called it a laborious listen despite guests like Gangsta Boo and La Chat.

Context

His second studio album, released October 24, 2006 by Big Cat and Tommy Boy. It peaked at No. 76 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • My Chain
  • Freaky Gurl
  • Hold Dat Thought
  • Trap Starz
  • Big Cat (Laflare)

Weak Spots

  • Monotonous
  • Thin production budget

Production

Zaytoven · Cyber Sapp · Nitti

Influence

"Freaky Gurl" was remixed with Lil' Kim and Ludacris for his next album.

Replay Value

Low to moderate.

Why it ranks here

His first album through Asylum and Atlantic has the "Freaky Gurl" remix with Lil' Kim and Ludacris and "I Know Why" with Pimp C. Reviews split sharply: PopMatters called it genuinely fun, while HipHopDX found him sleepwalking through it.

Context

His fourth studio album, released December 11, 2007 through So Icey, Czar, Asylum and Atlantic. It peaked at No. 57 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • Freaky Gurl (Remix)
  • I Know Why
  • 16 Fever
  • What I'm Talking Bout
  • Drink It Straight

Weak Spots

  • Low energy in places
  • Unfocused production

Production

Zaytoven · Polow da Don · Hit-Boy · Cyber Sapp · Reefa

Influence

Limited; his mixtapes of the period had far more impact.

Replay Value

Low; mainly for completists.

Why it ranks here

Named after his son Ice Davis, Ice Daddy is mostly produced by Mike Will Made It and 30 Roc. "Posse on Bouldercrest" with Pooh Shiesty and Sir Mix-a-Lot is a fun twist, but most of the album leans on younger 1017 artists and familiar formulas.

Context

His fifteenth studio album, released June 18, 2021 through Atlantic and 1017. It peaked at No. 34 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • Posse on Bouldercrest
  • Poppin
  • Like 34 & 8
  • I Got It
  • Lately

Weak Spots

  • Repetitive
  • Feels like a label showcase

Production

Mike Will Made It · 30 Roc · Zaytoven · Southside

Influence

Minimal.

Replay Value

Low; mainly for completists.

Why it ranks here

Issued by Big Cat Records, Murder Was the Case collects songs like "Stoopid" and "Runnin Back (Getting Fat)" over beats from DJ Speedy and Zaytoven. It charted at No. 23, but it plays like a compilation, and its title track is performed by another artist.

Context

His fifth studio album by Wikipedia's count, released May 5, 2009 through Big Cat and Tommy Boy.

Highlights

  • Stoopid
  • Runnin Back (Getting Fat)
  • Hot!
  • Block Party
  • Yella Diamonds

Weak Spots

  • No album shape
  • Recycled material

Production

DJ Speedy · Zaytoven · Melvin "Mel Man" Breeden

Influence

Minimal.

Replay Value

Low; mainly for completists.

Why it ranks here

Released on his sixth wedding anniversary, Breath of Fresh Air is a double album of nearly seventy-four minutes. "There I Go" with J. Cole and Mike Will Made It is a highlight, and late Young Dolph verses add weight, but the length buries the best material.

Context

His sixteenth studio album, released October 17, 2023 through Atlantic and 1017, supported by nine singles. It peaked at No. 141 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • There I Go
  • Bluffin
  • Married with Millions
  • Woppenheimer
  • Mr. & Mrs. Perfect

Weak Spots

  • Far too long
  • Generic beats

Production

TP808 · Mike Will Made It · Zaytoven · J. White Did It · Tay Keith

Influence

Minimal.

Replay Value

Low; mainly for completists.

Why it ranks here

Episodes runs twenty-three tracks, with OJ da Juiceman on "Back Cooking" and Sexyy Red and BossMan Dlow among the guests. There are flashes of the old humor, but at that length the album runs on autopilot for long stretches.

Context

His seventeenth studio album, released October 17, 2025 through 1017 and Atlantic. It peaked at No. 195 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • Voices
  • Psycho
  • Back Cooking
  • Still So Icy
  • Beautiful Nightmares

Weak Spots

  • Bloated
  • One-note production

Influence

Too new to judge.

Replay Value

Low; mainly for completists.

Why it ranks here

Big Cat Records released Trap-A-Thon with no involvement from Gucci, packaging vault songs and skits. AllMusic found it a steady Dirty South listen, and Zaytoven is among its producers, but it is the least essential record here.

Context

Released September 25, 2007 by Big Cat with distribution through Tommy Boy. It debuted at No. 69 on the Billboard 200.

Highlights

  • Bling Bling
  • Re-Up
  • Freaky Girl
  • Good News, Bad News
  • Spanish Plug

Weak Spots

  • Not a real album
  • Skit-heavy

Production

Zaytoven · Cyber Sapp · G-Fresh · Reefa

Essay

The Complete Picture

The State vs. Radric Davis is the best summary of Gucci Mane's first peak, and Everybody Looking is the strongest proof of his comeback. Trap House is the historic starting point, and the 2016–2018 Atlantic run of Mr. Davis, The Return of East Atlanta Santa and Evil Genius is more consistent than its reputation. The Big Cat-era releases and the recent double-length albums are for completists.

Start with The State vs. Radric Davis, then Everybody Looking.
